I'm bored, and compiling a compilation of 80s hair metal / rock. So far I've got stuff like:
Foreigner - I want to know what love is
Journey - Don't stop believing
Rainbow - Since you've been gone
Boston - More than a feeling
The Skorpions - Wind of change
Europe - The final countdown
Survivor - Eye of the tiger
Whitesnake - Here I go again
Meatloaf - Bat out of hell
G'n'R Sweet Child Of Mine
Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer
Van Halen - Jump
Poison - Unskinny Bop
Metallica - Enter Sandman
Alice Cooper - Poison
Extreme - Pornograffitti
David lee Roth - Yankee Rose
Motley Cru - Girls, Girls, Girls
Faster Pussycat - Bathroom Wall
Stryper - Soldiers Under Command
Kiss - Detroit Rock City
Anything by Def Leppard surely.
You can't get much more hair than ZZ Top?

By the way, Metallica are NOT hair metal.
Tigertailz - Heaven
Warrant - Cherry Pie
Lita Ford - Kiss Me Deadly
Ozzy Osbourne - Bark At The Moon
Cinderella - Long Cold Winter
Skid Row - 18 & Life
Van Halen - Jump
DAD - Sleeping My Day Away
Aerosmith - Dude Looks Like A Lady
Slaughter - Up All Night
Anthrax - Got The Time
AC/DC - Back In Black
I could go on, but I have work to do!
You rang? Some good ones to start with up there.
How about a few of these;
Love/Hate - Black out in the Red Room
I believe in a thing called love - The Darkness. Nu-skool hair metal!
Everything about you - Ugly Kid Joe (the live "Dirty Edit" by preference)
Move to the City - GnR, again, the live version on Live Era is the pick.
Backstreet Symphony - Thunder
Word up - Gun (Covertastic!)
Anything, and I mean ANYTHING by Little Angels!
Showdown - Love on Ice (From the Bill & Ted's soundtrack. One hit wonder but great!)
Cult of Personality - Living Colour
Oh come on D.A.D and Anthrax are not hair metal. Love/Hate that is questionable.
If you want Brit hair metal then Wrathchild has to be included, just hysterical.
i'm glad Skid Row got a mention, Skid Row were ace
captain, its all there..!
Maybe a bit of Tyketto, end of the summer days
Enuff z Nuff, new thing (just for IHN)
What about a bit of Dokken, dream warriors
Hey I don't know, I was a goth, it was all "poodle rock" to us
I will add...
White Lion - Wait
Winger - Headed for A Heartbreak
Damn Yankees - High Enough
Hanoi Rocks - Up Around The Bend
Kingdom Come - Get It On
Mammoth - Fatman
The Dog's D'Amour - How Come It Never Rains
OK, a couple not strictly speaking 'Hair Metal', but close enough to be included
BILLY IDOL!
I'm LIKING some of these suggestions, I'm not bothered if it's not specifically hair rock, as long as it's anthemic driving rock... I'm even tempted to put some Bruce in there
Time to bring Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction to this party ๐
Billy Idol???!!
Maybe not quite the '80's...
HardLine - 'Takin' Me Down' or 'I'll Be There'
Cinderella - 'Gypsy Road'
QuireBoys - 'Hey You' (aye.... YOU!)
Bon Jovi - 'Lay Your Hands On Me'
Kiss - 'Crazy Nights' (if I never hear that song again... ๐ฟ )
Anyone remember this? Used to have one or 2 hair metal vids every week..
QuireBoys! Oh yes...!
Saxon - Wheels of Steel
(goes off to ebay to look for some metal)
Ooh, Denim and Leather may go on there too
Tesla must get a mention surely?
Quireboys - remember a stonking gig at the T&C and their stage set was a replica of the inside of a pub. ๐
This is truly a blast from the past....I remember a Little Angels gig at Coventry Polytechnic (as it was)in 1989/90. Hairspray galore!
Hair Metal you say!
Go check Steel Panther on www.steelpantherrocks.com
Your life will never be the same again... I promise!
All of the above and -
Magnum - On a Storyteller's Night
Whitesnake - Ain't no love in the heart of the city (live version is hilarious)
Electric Boys - Lips and Hips
Maybe more fur than hair but what about Manowar?
"Other bands play - Manowar kill" ๐
From the youth club....
'Metal Health' - Quiet Riot
'Run Runaway' - Slade (or was it Sade?) - one of the 1st songs I remember liking, at about 12 yrs old 8)
(sorry, can't access youtube at work...)
I'd have picked Kiss Crazy Nights as the Kiss entry.
Also, Heart - Alone
The above have brought back so many memories of my youth, going to Jilly's, Rockworld and UMIST in Manchester, with gigs at the Apollo. Here's my contribution, but the list could have gone on for ages. Thanks for making me feel young again.
Y&T - Rescue Me
Shy - The Hunter
John Norum - Back on the Streets
TNT - Thor with the Hammer
Dare - Abandon
The Babys - White Lightning
Lee Aaron - Metal Queen
FM - Indiscreet, the whole album
Just been listening to Aerosmith Angel and Dude looks like a lady funnily enough.
Hair metal is still my favvorite era.
Skid Row next...but first
Quireboys Hey you...
And No limit was great-bugger all on back then and Jenny was fine...
Dogs D'amour - I Don't Want You To Go
Remember Lita Ford? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xag7I3q1pw
7 o'clock by Q.boys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TVdCZzlUKo&feature=quicklist
Lita Ford and Dancin' on the Edge. Loved her pink Ritch Bitch, but really wanted hair like Jan Kuehnemund of Vixen
anything by W.A.S.P trump that lot.
Steel Panther - Feel the Steel

Large chunks of my late teens and twenties have just flashed before my eyes.....
*gets misty eyed. Gets tissue. Smudges eyeliner.*
Wasp Mean man
Twisted Sister? We're not gonna take it
I wanna rock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25pS3bx4S8A ๐
Thank god for 'Power Hour / Raw Power / Noisy Mothers'... Probably responsible for my following the true faith; tape it late Friday, watch it 2 or 3 times, hungover, on Saturday. Ahhhhh... 2 crackers -
[url=
The Night Roll On
[url=
Gods
...sure I've got a pair of white basket-ball boots around here somewhere...
Europe - Final Countdown (sorry if someone already suggested that!!)
The lead singer is called Joey TEMPEST for gods sake...........genius!!!!
Agree with Zaskar - can't believe Twisted Sister were being overlooked esp I wanna rock
Worryingly I've seen a huge amount of the bands named so far live, a big chunk of the 80's and early 90's went in bit of a blur, remember the Quireboys bar set mainly as I demanded that they pour me a pint as the crowd was too big for me to go to the bar. Spotted myself in the front row of the crowd at a Thunder gig in one of their albums but for the life of me can't remember that night. Buckley Tiv rock night was bloody brilliant/
Few more to add:
Saxon
Gary Moore
Zodiac Mindwarp
RATT
Europe - Final Countdown (sorry if someone already suggested that!!)
Don't forget Rock the Night, and Danger on the Track.
