A bit of background on Ukraine's military commander. The video of his armoured vehicle breaking through a barrier constructed by pro-Russia militia in 2014 is a bit lairy

In brief: Mykhailo Drapaty, Ukraine’s new senior officer, is renowned for frontline leadership since 2014. He pioneered large-scale drone-centric warfare, helped liberate Kherson, and is respected for decentralized command, innovation, and accepting responsibility for battlefield failures.

A bit of background on Ukraine's strikes on Wildberries

In brief: Ukraine has destroyed several more warehouses belonging to Wildberries, one of Russia’s largest retail businesses. The attacks have dealt a serious blow to Russia’s small and medium-sized businesses. But what lies behind Ukraine’s strikes?

Apparently Russia may be getting close to defaulting on its debt. It has tried to hold bond auctions recently and raised about 10bn roubles, of the nearly 1tn it needed. The treasury then cancelled the remaining auctions due to lack of buyers.

There's a TLDR News video about in on YouTube if you're interested

They've got 4.5mn TwitterX followers between him and Loomer, not to mention their other meeja

Assuming it is the Rouble denominated debt, Russia can chose to default or print money to repay it.  Neither is ideal.

In other news, Arena-M still doesn't work

In brief: Ukraine has shown footage of its drone ramming into the back of a Russian T-72B3A tank equipped with Moscow’s latest Arena-M anti-drone system, with previous criticism from Russian experts casting doubt on whether its radar can actually do what’s being advertised.
