Hi, I've been a bit slack with this but just noticed 5.99 a month payments going out of my account to Paypal to Uber Payments BV. They are listed as Pre-approved payments!?
Cannot find any detail on why I am paying this fee every month but it seems that I must have set it up somehow? Have I been hacked or is this 'a thing'?
I am an occasional, but rarely sober, user of Uber both for rides and food. Could I have pressed the wrong button or is this a scam?
I have gone into my PP account and stopped the regualr payment now but still confused. PP Resolution Centre is a 'computer says no' loop.
Do you use Uber Eats? - sounds like membership of their 'Uber One' service which gives free delivery and some worthless benefits I won't list.

If you've never since benefited from free delivery, might be worth a try with both Paypal and UberEats to say you were signed up in error and ask for it to be refunded.
A mate has just pinged me a list to that and it looks like that could be it. I certainly wouldn't have voluntarily signed up to that! Guessing its a bit Amazon Prime where signing up for a free trial is easily to do than avoid...
