It's not as bad as it sounds. The op is acknowledging that she wants sex too, and that neither of them would be getting any. However this may not be the main reason for going away from her point of view.

It's not as bad as it sounds. The op is acknowledging that she wants sex too, and that neither of them would be getting any.

It was a standing joke when we were younger that a trips away would coincide with Mrs S period. We either did without or got on with it. A lot of hotel towels had to be laundered after a days use, not very environmentally friendly.
