I keep hearing about people of a similar age to me dying, yet I intend to stick around another 30 years or so, or at least till just before I become a useless vegetable.

Personally, I thought Beadle was a very brave man. Never hid his disability, despite the mockery he received.

They re-ran a couple of interviews with him after he died, where he stated that he hoped that he might raise awareness and banish ignorance on this subject.
