Hi all my 8 yr old LG 42inch LCD has just given up the ghost , I tried fixing it by replacing capacitors but it's not worked so I'm in the market for a new one preferably about the same size
There seems to be loads of types etc and prices seem to have come down a bit but I really don't know what to look for,it dosnt need to be all singing and dancing. Please can you give me some advice on a reliable, reasonable price family tv (max £400 really)
Any links to any deals you know of would be much appreciated
Thanks Pete

Having recently looked for my dad I felt the best advice was to go into a shop like Richer Sounds.

Have a look at the picture quality and more importantly these days have a play around with the menu system as there are some poor smart tv's out there.

In the end he settled with one of these;
