Ahem
I'll run it until the end of March, and this is how it'll work:
1) Mail me to let me know you're in (address in profile) with your:
- current weight in KG
- target weight in KG (something challenging but acheivable)
- what your timed session[s]workout[/s] will be
- your STW username
Sorry
I'll do it by the end of March then.
F*&*^ it.
in
Mail sent.
I'm in.
In!
I'm in - not too fussed about losing a great deal of weight but would like to remove some of the wobble ๐
Just have to time a mile loop (as I reckon come the apocalypse I will have outrun anyone after me after a mile, unless they've mutated in which case all bets are off).
Will email details tomorrow morning once I've timed the loop and had a weigh in
Speaking now as an EX tubster, if I may... The 5:2 diet.
It works.
post xmas the ****ing gyms full of the lard asses trying to get loose weight. Roll on Feb and they will all be back to stuffing their face and the gym will be free!
Final bump.
Email entry details to me by this time tomorrow, then we're off...
In.
Have gone for a swimming workout as timing an mtb route around here at the moment is influenced more by depth of mud than (lack of) fitness.
I'm not in as I don't need to lose weight but just thought I'd pop in to see who the fatties are ๐
But this 'If you can measure it so as to see time improvements over the weeks, it counts.' has too many variables to just be based on fitness and weight loss surely. For example my commute to work on the bike can take me 60 minutes one day and 80 minutes another - but I haven't had a change in fitness or weight during that time. There are lots of other factors that change how long something takes.
To make this work you would need to do a fitness test in a controlled environment otherwise that stat is pretty meaningless.
Thanks for your input
What that noise? that'll be fat thighs slapping together to announce on my way to say - I'm in.
Just sent my entry off, hopefully not too late!
Aaaaand the entries are CLOSED.
*SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHTUUUUM!!!!*
Any entries made after this time will not be counted, but I'll still know you're a fat knacker ๐
I'll pull together a full list of everyone over the weekend and mail everyone with a reminder of how it will work.
So Malvern Rider, is it you or me that starts the "Which set of scales?" thread? (and what're the Malvern Hills like at this time of year?
Gah I'm late with the scales, late with the reply. Just post-flu tardy as all hell. I just today bought some as new Salter mechanical scales, less than a fiver from the local Blue Cross. What can go wrong? I'm a full (Xmas?) stone more than I thought I would be. That's what went wrong.

Hope you did take the bike along, there are always quiet places on the Hills, just stay away from the ridge to avoid the majority of people. The wooded east sides of the hills are permissible for bikes and arguably the largest network of trails traversing the hillsides, lots of zig-zag climbs, some level/swoopy stuff and sometimes challenging descents.
*Edit (as per below) PS I'm a fat knacker. Will privately compare my results in surly left-outness.
Slight hijack, just thought I'd stick this in here from the other thread in case anyone missed it:
So what day is the weekly update going to be posted on?
In theory I will post it on a Monday, reminding people to get results to me via mail by Tuesday Midday.I'll then aim to update it with the results on the Tuesday afternoon or evening. All depends a bit on business at work.
If you miss the Tuesday midday cutoff but get the mail to me before I start to pull it all together, I'll include your results if I'm feeling nice, but there's no guarantee. If you get missed out of the results for two weeks on the bounce, you're out.
This will start in earnest from the week after next, as I'm on hols from this weekend.

Excellent reading of the thread entry above your own there, well done.
Whoever reads posts? I only ever glance at the headline and take my guesses from there ๐
