After the thread on here at the weekend bought one of these for my son off ebay for £80 it came with 2 batterys and a charger (a 1700 and 3000 power battery)just a few questions,what is the best kind of charger to get the one that i got with the car takes 23.5hrs to charge the large battery,how long will this battery last whilst running the car,and has any 1 done any of the mods you can do to run faster and how easy is it to do?
Can't name specifics, but with the charger, get a decent one with some 'intelligence' so it fast charges, then switches to trickle when it detects the battery is full.
The cheap chargers that just charge at the same rate, knacker batteries really quick.
I haven't used an RC car for a while, but I think you used to get about 15mins from a charge & I seem to remember that being with a 1750 battery. A lot depends on the condition of the batteries too.
Oh, with regard to that...see if you can get a charger with a discharger built in (or get a separate one) - as you don't know how the batteries have been treated in the past, it might be a good idea to give them a few charge/discharge cycles.
