Daughter #1 is off away with a friend next week and she needs some Euro's. I normally use the Post Office but their minimum is £400 but I'm after £200.
Any recommendations?

Are you sure, even to go into a branch and do it over the counter?

I'm sure I've been in and got much less than that, e.g. to go in a birthday card for someone about to go on holiday.

M&S are often good on rates, assuming there's one with a FX booth nearby. The King's Road branch was always my go to place in London. I now just use the village post office. Unless you're changing massive amounts of money, don't fret too much about rates, though.

If it's a small amount then just go to where it most convenient. The reality is that time spent trying to find "the best rate" won't actually save you much in absolute terms so won't be worth the hassle or transport costs of getting there!

Just walk in, they'll have £200 worth of euros to sell you.

Or just get her to take some out of a cash machine when she arrives (assuming she has a card). For smaller amounts it's fine

Local branch of The Money Shop gives the best rates available around here - worth a look if you have a local branch.

I use the Post Office on a walk in since my bank (First Direct) changed to having to create an order with them before collecting at an HSBC - I used to be able to just withdraw in Euros. They will always have £200 in € unless its a little Postman Pat place?

If you use the Post Office then pay with cash, they charge you more if you pay with a card.
