Watched this yesterday on Netfix. I reckon there was a meeting somewhere when Michael Bay said (something to the effect) "I'm going to make the most shittiest movie for the most money, it'll have no plot,the actors will have no point, there's going to be product placement that'll make your eyes water, random explosions, and dialogue that makes no sense, who's with me?"

I think he did it as a bet...I can't see any other reason why such a dog's arse of movie could get made.

Totally agree, it was a confused mess of a movie that ruined the franchise for me. The first movies were good (not in a great movie way but enjoyable). This was not.

The most entertaining thing about that franchise is watching Mark Kermode's excoriating reviews of them.
