What is the best way to transfer the entire contents of the my documents folder from my laptop to the other half's desktop? Both are running Windows XP, and there is several GB's of files.

Network them through your router, or take the hard drive out and plug it in to your PC with some adapter. Get a cross-over network cable, better still make one. Wireless dongle, bluetooth via your phone? Email the files to yourself on Gmail. Open all the files up with notepad, print out and type them into the pc.
