The IMBA did look at it a few years back and from memory funding, for some reason the figure of 800,000 sticks in my mind was offered for trail development at several sites, one of which I seem to remember was the cavehill area. However the numptys at stormont pulled the plug on the idea as they couldnt see the ecomonic benifit from the development, despite CYB and others being used as examples....pretty much couldnt see the woods for the trees.
however they did plan to build(built, not been home for a while) an olympic size swiming pool in bangor? which off course the seaside town was crying out for ๐Ÿ˜‰

The pool build is running late - funny that! Although it will mean the end of an XC winter league when the building does start.
