Holy Jebus!
Personally I think they've gone far too far this time! ๐
that was really rather a good way to spend 75mins. Quality entertainment IMHO
That was funny .Why have they gone to far? is it the taking the piss out of religeon ,fair game in my book!!
First time in some while i have properly laughed at the TV
"brown rain" was worth the licence fee alone
fantastic TV
Gone too far? They should have taken a more direct route you mean?
Thought it was pretty crap tbh. Normally like top gear but seems like they're flogging a dead horse
Thought it was funny but a bit too contrived!
Same as M6TFF, didn't really raise a laugh with me. Much preferred some of the previous ones.
Didn't like it.
Long boring and contrived.
THey have gone downhill since the polar expedition.
I liked it, my wife expressed interest in the little Fiat on top of all the laughs we had.
i thought it was rather excellent - being an arab it was nice to see the homeland being on the TV for reasons other than war, terror etc.
Very formulaic, but still occasionally excellent. Could have done without "Let's customise the cars".
"Let's customise the cars".
or
We're well known in Syria! ๐
That gorge in Iraq looked like it would be immense to cycle through.
Pity that Fiat isn't available RHD as it is a lovely-looking little car.
I love Top gear but i'm finding it a bit tedious lately , the whole format needs a revamp like they did when they created this current setup a fair while ago now.
Fantastic tv, really well filmed and directed, anyone else notice the transit type vans following them with the film crew, directors, sound engineers, mini camera specialists, costume and make up, amongst others on the end credits.
Oh and not forgeting the DR, and the pixelatelated SAS chappie.
I thought it was one of the best shows they've ever done, right up there with the Vietnam trip. Almost like a documentary, with loads of information about the places they were going through. Unlike previous shows, there was none of the 'let's poke fun at the locals', instead just some subtle yet powerful statements on the reality of people's lives. Talking about Jerusalem as a place of Peace, whilst showing images of the West Bank barricade, was brilliant, I thought.
A programme about 3 English buffoons, going through places where people's lives are blighted by war and conflict, yet being very objective and actually culturally sensitive.
And it was ultimately all about the story of the Nativity. With a contemporary message. Brilliant TV.
Clarkson is still an idiot though.
Good comedy value but an utter crap program - too predictable...although I knew what was going to happen I still found it amusing...I don't watch it these days as it's a repeat of the previous show - funny like Little Britain was after the first 4 series...so predictable but you still laughed...
Suggests how big the show is outside of these shores too; they get away with a hell of a lot and get more access than you might normally expect. Would be interesting to see behind the scenes of a programme like this one - just how long it takes to set up and film, the logistics behind it, the negotiating, etc..
Funny, but a bit too formulaic IMO.
I did think it improved lots once they calmed down about being shot, and focussed on the cultures of the people and places they were meeting and travelling through.
Not a classic Top Gear challenge, but certainly entertaining enough to be glad I watched it.
It was crap, too long and boring, no humour at all, couldnt believe that I wasted 75 mins watching it!
Worse Top Gear IMO
Hope next one is better!
They have done superb shows in the past, the North Pole being one of them, but as said above it was weak compared to how it could have been, too formulaic, and they are now just playing up the the stereotypes which they have created.
Time for the boys to risk a different formula IMHO.
I missed it, but it's on again at 6.45pm, gonna have to watch it now just cos of this thread...
"unlike previous shows , there was none
of the 'let 's poke fun at the locals',"
that lind of thing really is for losers isn't it?
