Is it that hard to just write the name?

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is be one of the new presenters of Top Gear when the motoring programme returns to BBC Two in May.

But then how can the show take the pi55 out of the Germans and Americans - or is that old school, and this new version will be all politically correct ?

I don't care who they pick as long as it keeps Tim Lovejoy off my TV.

There's an American Top Gear?!?

I would love to see this beaut make it around a track!

EDIT: Irony lost. Didn't realise you would have all known this p.o.s. from Breaking Bad.

Maybe as the cars become driverless they should do away with the presenters as well.

Hmm, not sure about this. I like Matt le Blanc in Friends and Actors, but when interviewed he seems about as charismatic as a plank. It'll be interesting to see which way he goes when presenting.

I'm hoping for Ronnie in "Star in a reasonably priced car". I think he'll do well providing he stays on his feet.

Matt's a biker. It'd be nice to see some bikes.

So what you're saying is that when he's doing his job as a professional actor he's very good at it, but when he's not.....he's not. How does this worry you again?

It worries me because I believe presenting and acting require a different set of skills. I can't imagine Chris Evans, Clarkson, May or Hammond being able to act for instance. Happy to be proved wrong, but I'd bet Clarkson would be in the Jeff Goldblum school of [s]typecasting[/s] acting.
