Oh, just heard about his wayward days as a youth and the trust fund.

That looks suspiciously like the lower Rother between Wittersham and Iden
Edit: yes it is.

I'm thinking he's ever done a hard days graft in his drug addled, inheritance-fueled life... or just me?! Lucky for some.

His brother's face says it all.

I love the fact he's clearly a mentalist who's nonced about on boats on drugs all his life, who the family are ashamed of... "Yeah, you can have the money 40 years after you inherit it...but only for a house."

And we get it...you like boats..

I really liked that house.
The construction method with the different layers of timber and engineered timber products really appeals to me as well
That dog in the hiviz was quality

Matt - is that stuff the Pavatex board? (I seem to remember you worked in that area). Is it really OK for repeated soakings?

They were his teeth? I thought he'd had LEDs fitted into his mouth.

The aesthetics is bad enough, but I'm damned if I'd want to live underneath HT cables like that, although his house, being almost entirely wood might be ok, but my own experience of standing underneath cables like those holding a bike, and getting electric shocks every time I touched any metal parts would put me off, and the continual buzzing from the cables if the air gets damp really would drive me nuts, like flies buzzing and whining all the time.
I'd want to be another 1-200 metres away, at least.
Still, I really did like the house, and the location was wonderful, power lines aside; I could happily live there, sitting down on the jetty on warm evenings, book in hand and a nice beer or three close by...

I liked it but 300k for a 1 bedroom wooden house seemed a bit much! It's marked on the OS map as Nirvana. ๐Ÿ™‚

Three bedrooms, the other two and and another bathroom were at the far end of the house from the river.

The house* they knocked down was called nirvana

*looked derelict or severely unloved

I want to know more about the trust fund thing.

So, the fact that he couldn't inherit in full means that he wasn't deemed responsible? Who would decide this? And would he be allowed to prove how responsible he was at a later point, and did he fail? Basically, would he still be seen as not responsible at this point or was it all based on someone's decision 40 years ago?

Or would it just have been his parents deciding that he was a ****less, drug addled layabout and hes not wasting their hard earned on hash...

This should go well.

The architect is going to blow their budget massively.

The architect just called it 'a profound building'. ๐Ÿ™„

And the steelwork cost 180k. Could have got it cheaper but that's not what the build is about. Arsehole.
I've watched about 3 minutes and have to turn it off.

He's not an architect.

And I'd say it's a pretty even bet between him and them as to who is going to blow the budget. Not that the budget was realistic to start with.
