Just to say, one of the features I most like about the new forum is the white border it applies to photos, it looks more professional. That’s all. 😁
Just to add to the photos of the Goldcrest above, I checked my bird references, and it appears to be a female, the males have a deep orange stripe down the middle of the yellow stripe, which the males raise during the mating season to show it off. I’ll be paying close attention with the glasses from now on.
I ordered some headset spacers from banana industries. So naturally it turned into a middle of lidl shop, including this lemon shaped and scented bar of soap.
Is that paint the stuff used on Hotblack Desiato's stunt ship?

Walk along the beach this afternoon. Jumpers on, but lovely in the sun.
First archery session since last year, a soft tissue injury meant missing the indoor winter season, so I’m out of condition, and using new carbon fibre arrows with spin vane flights. Mine have the orange flights, final end after nearly two hours, and getting very tired! Shooting at 30 yards. 😁

That’s the Wansdyke, looking towards Westwoods, from where the Stonehenge Sarsen stones came from. What it needs is an ungulate on a mountain bike. 😁
Today’s photo is of a beautiful treecreeper, taken from the motorhome window. It’s climbing up an old gnarled Western Hemlock perfectly lit by the sunlight that has just come up over Birks and Black Crag. The bird(s) are beautifully marked with brown and black backs but their undersides are quite bright and almost white. Their curved beaks can be clearly seen as they poke around in the crevices. The tree is about a metre and a half in diameter and over a hundred feet tall with lots of nooks and crannies and some massive boughs that are horizontal and then shoot up vertically, there’s some goldcrests flitting around too. Grisedale Beck is tinkling along to the left and there are probably some red squirrels observing from a distance. Blue sky, a beautiful day.

What trauma, exactly? I’ve posted lots of photos on here over the years, using Postimage mainly, and there’s very little trauma involved.

1st time at Friston Forest today. Had no idea where we were going, but we found some really good trails! We'll definitely be back soon.
This picture was taken on the descent from Sticks Pass just before Greenside Mine. It’s pointing down the valley of Glenridding Beck, Ullswater can just be seen and beyond it Patterdale Common. The weather is fairly dull and the cloud base is low but there are bright highlights provided by the dead bracken and the golden glow of the moorland grasses that have yet to start growing.
As my file is again apparently too big - even though file information gives it less than 4Mb - imagine the view from above of the lower half of a pair of hairy legs. The feet are immersed in the crystal clear water of Grisedale Beck with a view across a very rocky stream to the opposite bank where there are a few small trees. One stump is very interesting, around two metres tall and covered in thick moss and lichen with some large bracket fungus. The background sky is a lovely deep blue through the trees. !words thousand a paints picture A.
