It's just a lonely slowworm. Give it a hug

Got bored as the wife is at a running race, so made a little 3 sided bit of boxing for the back seats in the van, using scraps as I'm a horder of offcuts.

This one’s about the size of my palm - I’d forgotten to fill the feeding station plates up! Fortunately, the starlings drop so much stuff it’s unlikely to starve.
I did put down some calci worms while topping up the food plates…

Back on the big red bridge today.
A trip up the hoiset at the north end for a quick wee job on the north Queensferry south cantilever.

crazy camera obscura effect from a gap in the Velux.

And now with added Jackdaw stood on the roof of next door’s barn

Crap photo, but I don't care, it was in the garden and I'm chuffed to bits to see one 😁

Amazed at how well these came out! I was holding my phone in my left hand, the subject was sitting on the back of my right hand. I’ve cropped the image down in each case, but that’s all I’ve done. The last photo is a bit blurry, because that was taken a fraction of a second before it launched itself at my phone camera, but had no grip and bounced back onto my hand! 😁
Cute little guy. About 7-8mm long.

@TiRed - lucky you! I’ve never seen a stag beetle! I’m not sure they even exist in my neck of the woods.
Thinking about the zebra spider, it’s most likely a female, they’re the smart ones that hunt; the males are just there to breed with then be an aperitif.
Google lens says it's a small magpie moth...
