Milligan indeed. I knew it from 'Silly Verse for Kids'.

Anyone remember him on Wogan years ago when a bloke walked onto the set (this was live) as a sponsored dare for Children In Need. Wogan was clearly a little vexed. Spike said 'Come and see me after the show. I'll beat the s**t out of you'?

Accoprding to Wikipedia:

The Prince of Wales was a noted fan, and Milligan caused a stir by calling him a "little grovelling bastard" on live television in 1994.[9] He later faxed the prince, saying "I suppose a knighthood is out of the question?"

Well thats confirmed it, going to finally get round to listening to his WWII Diaries I have on audio book on todays ride. Seven books so will probably be out for a week ๐Ÿ˜‰
