Speaking from experience cougar? Wrong answer for some not all.
I don't eat either of those things, and I manage perfectly well ๐
Speaking from experience cougar?
I've been vegetarian for... I think 24 years now. So, yes, I'd like to think so.
If your conclusion is "meat or chips" (massive proteins or massive carbs) "by the sounds of it" then, ah, well.
Your wife "was" a veggie. How long for?
Yep - it suits some
I've only got 14 years of vegetarian cooking under my belt. Can't say that I've missed many "appointments" either.
For me I would need 2 stomachs to manage without meat.
Wife was veggie for 2 years - pregnancy forced her to the dark side, as this thread appears to be labelling it.

Where?

This forum needs a QI klaxon.
Like hell does it, it'd be worn out within the hour.

being pregnant made her like Darth Vader ๐ฏ
"Search your feelings, I am your fath"....Oh no wait, that's not going to work.
20 years a veggie, most of that vegan. Don't really like vegetables. Pulses and seeds even less. Leaves and other salad produce are ok if they're covered in olive oil. Chips are good, as are veggie sausages, burgers, and anything made with veggie mince. The Chinese supermarkets in Manchester do a remarkable range of meat imitation products, including lobster, prawns, chicken, etc. I once made a doner kebab with fake chicken from the chinese supermarket. I swear it was exactly like I remembered. So much so that I've not done it again as it was too realistic.
Why would anyone eat chickpeas? That's a serious question. (in their natural form that is, not falafel, which I like as it looks like meat)
Oh my kids are vegan too. They don't like vegetables either ๐

With respect, that's not an inherently vegetarian issue, it's a poor diet issue.
Did you substitute the removal of meat with other foods or did you just stop eating things? Were you both getting plenty of fibre? Protein? Good sources of all your vitamins and minerals?
It was a didn't suit me issue. Meat back in the diet and all's well.
it was never an animal welfare issue for me I wanted to do it as I believed I would be more healthy.
Not really answering the question, TBH.
Wife was fine, so suggest diet was fine TBH
Good sources of all your vitamins and minerals?
Well, this is very nutritious, all the food groups are represented. Did your mom Marry Mr Rodgers?
(points awarded for naming the film...) ๐

If that were true, she wouldn't have been "forced to the dark side" when she were pregnant.
Breakfast Club nickc!
Love that film.
