Three cars combined premium for very little, no excess on any of them 🙂
From what you've said so far I would get set up for cycle commuting a few days a week, see if you an get any discount for your motorbike insurance and buy a car for when the weathers bad or you want to travel further.
It doesn't have to be sports car, a flash motor often makes a bad impression anyway, it just needs to get you to work safely.
Btw, None of the above statement would have made any sense to me when I was under 30, so if nothing else try to think of smooth as better than fast and keep perspective when seeing red.
Don't need or want a big car a 1.0 Corsa is sufficient. Cheapest quote is £1000 after searching around. Which is reasonable. Keep the bike for sunny days, car for hideous weather and early shifts, as if I'm on early then late shift I could drive in the morning, leave car. Cycle back home, back in following afternoon cycling then drive back.
Come to realize it ain't gonna get much cheaper till I start earning a ncd. So have to like it or lump it.
