I think my aged parents have been mis-sold a product and then subsequently ignored when they have complained. What is the correct escalation process before kneecapping? Ideally it will be in their hands (I don't want to damage their pride by stepping in guns a blazing but I would like to assist).
Do ombudsman services work?

What type of product. If it is a regulated financial product then the ombudsman is excellent and I am very familiar with the process.

Email in profile of you want to drop me details. Happy to offer an opinion whether I think it's got legs or not.

Take a loved family member of the perpetrator hostage until you get your money back.

Read the paperwork.
Read it again and then check what has happened.

Thank you dbg but it is a renewable energy heating and hot water system (usually seen in commercial or large detached buildings rather than a small suburban semi). I am looking at whether there is regulatory or governing body or if the company has a formal complaint process but their website is rubbish (a quick Google suggests others have been dissatisfied with their service).
