think there has been something similar before, but dont think it was this one.
When you watch this, you realise that perhaps the invention of electric lighting has been the greatest advance in capability that we have ever seen!
(no longer are we completely driven by the Earths natural rotational clock, we can do what we want, when we want)

That's ace, but I'd have like to have seen more of that volcano..... 🙂
On two occasions I have seen lightning from the air; once while flying at night along the Rift Valley; for half an hour to the east I could see a long line of massive thunderclouds on the horizon, with lightning flickering inside illuminating them like Chinese lanterns. On another occasion flying from Lahore to Dhaka and the same phenomenon over the Himalayas to the north.
saw a lightening storm out of a plane once over the alps at dusk, . . it was like a dark massive ball of cloud with lightening shooting out of it, one of the most amazing things i ever saw, thankfully we a safeish distance away from it.
