[quote=murf ]Scotroutes, I've some old Rockshox somewhere. I think you live local to me so I can drop them off with a pair of cranks too, if the OP accepts your offer.
Cheers. If this is a go-er you can drop them at Ticket to Ride in Inverness and I'll get the bike sorted.

You don't buy secondhand baby stuff, people are glad to give it away.

What stuff have you already got? I'm sure me and others will have surplus bits to offer.

We have a baby mat and a bottle set. That's it. We will get there though.

Do you live anywhere near an Aldi? They have a baby event on at the moment. I'll speak to my wife and see if we have anything, although we've just got rid of a load of baby clothes. I'm only in Glossop so can drop stuff around.

Edit: Do you need a cot?

I somehow missed this thread first time round. I've just read the first and last pages.
My first baby is now almost 20 years old and he didn't mind that everything was 2nd hand when he was born ๐Ÿ™‚
If you do end up taking up one of the offers to borrow a bike you're welcome to join us on our Wednesday night rides. We sometimes go from Disley or Hayfield, which aren't far from Stockport, sometimes we go from bit further away (E.g. Macclesfield Forest). We are Dukinfield CC (the muddy ducks), so you can check out our website.
All the best to you both, and the baby bump.

I'd seen Aldi had an event, we have one near too so thanks, I'll go check it out.

Vicky, thank you. Hopefully I can see you one day on a ride.

OP great to hear back from you, "new" baby things make the parents feel better, the main thing the little one will need is the love and attention of his/her parents.

I can donate a RM hard tail frame if we can fit it out, I don't want it back.
Had it for a few years with the intention of building it up for one of the grand kids, I am fortunate enough to be able to buy them a bike if & when the need arises.
Why?
MrsT suffers from psoriac arthritis+type2 diabeaties
I will ask MsT & Tjnr if they have any baby stuff

If Murf forks don't work out I have a set of F120's I can put back on the Soul and therefore would have a set of 100-120-140 TALAS that would be 'spare'...

I think I have everything now except cranks and forks - which murf has offered. I just need to check compatibility (steerer/A2C and BB type) and I think I'm sorted.

I have lots of bits in the garage loft - octalink BB/chainset(s), probably wheels, definitely tyres (though prob no innertubes) and loads of other stuff (grips, pedals, pumps, cables etc).

May even have a pram and/or cot, dunno (my youngest is 13, so that shit'll be well hidden if it's still there)

let me know what'd help and I can have a look tomorrow

So back to baby stuff. Seems we gave most of it away recently so just got a Mamas & Papas Moses Basket with wooden stand and a couple of pairs of socks really.

Email me if interested in basket, it's just in the next room and I could take a pic. I'm sure I'll be down your way some time and could drop it in.

Mosey - not sure where to begin but congratulations to you and your wife.

Not sure if we have any baby stuff left but will ask the missus if we have anything worth sending your way.

2x10 X0 groupset available if required ? Carbon cranks and everything !
Lots of handlebars as well.
Like everyone says, we get secondhand baby and toddler stuff - my 3 year old doesn't care and neither do we, and I live in a Waitrose neighbourhood where the sheer thought of it makes other mums go pale ! So far she has been outfitted in other peoples Icebreaker, my wife and I think its quite funny.

email is grahamt1980 at hotmail dot com.

Trailer is still well in use i'm afraid

I'm usually the strong one offering any help I can so as so easily noticed I am struggling to accept it's me who needs it now.

So consider it karma coming back around, offer still stands.

Mosey, unfortunately I don't have any bike or baby bits but I am fairly time rich at the minute and am only an hour from you in the Derbyshire Dales. If you ever want to muck about on bikes or have a chat let me know, if you don't feel comfortable accepting scotroutes's Onion then I have two bikes and you can borrow one. We also have many nice pubs for socialising nearby (sadly I can't drive just now to come to you). Absolutely zero interest in how fit or not you are, it doesn't matter.

Email in profile if you're game.

Mosey, somehow missed this thread until now. I'm in Stockport and will check out what baby stuff I have stored in the loft. As twistedpencil suggested, have you been down to Bruntwood BMX? The Saturday morning club sessions (10-12) have bikes available to hire.

I havnt read all the other answers. And what im suggesting may sound strange. But xant you get two wifes/girlfriend on the side , still have babies? And still love your life to the end. It works out grate in other parts of the world.talk it through with your wife. Cause as i understand. Your in between two things in life you cant live without. And those two things cant coexist.Talk it through with your wife hopefully you both can live like that.i think thats whats trubbling you. You know you have to choosr. And im giving you an quite easy solution. So you dont have to choose between. But youll get some strange reactions from your suroundings. But theyll understand by time

Mosey - I've lost track of where you are with offers of baby stuff but we have a Mamas and Papas Urbo pram/pushchair ( in red in case of all offers being equal ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) you can have along with a compatible Cybex car seat that fastens via the seatbelt or clips onto the wheels of the pram. It's all in great nick and you'll be the second owner. I can drop it off too in the next 1-3 weeks as I'll be passing through Stockport on a weekly basis.

I can make enquiries about a ninth-hand, three-wheeler 'grasstrack/gnarmac' pushchair (big recline but not flat) too but only if you think you'd have a use for it.

Email in profile.

Cranks anyone?

Bike has a 68mm BB shell and I have a nice XT HTII BB that will fit it. Or something with a suitable BB?

Everything else is 9-speed too (not that it matters too much).
