Was out walking near Chequers on Saturday and there was a Spitfire flying around and doing some loops and flying quite low.
Maybe I took too many pictures and should have just watched and listened to it a bit more. The pictures aren't great as I only had a 4 times zoom and that one above is a crop, but it was actually pretty close.
I took a movie and then realised I talked over it a bit :-(, annoyed at the times it lost focus, but you can here the engine still and it's pretty good as he (she ?) buzzes over the tree line :
Apart Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II the below are the predecessors I like. They are ground support gunships.

Klunk, why are you calling F-16s F-17s and a MiG-31 a MiG-13?
Fat Albert!
IIRC, Chris Dekerf used to weld stuff like that.

Picture wise I love duffer's Hercules.

Point of order Mr Chairman - I don't think Church Fenton had/has any HAS's? Still, with all the other errors in this thread I might as well just ignore it ;-p

Hmmm... I took the photo & was 'sure' it was Church Fenton. I don't think it was Leeming which IIR only had one public show. The HAS's have put doubt in my mind though now you mention it. Mid to late 70's I'd say.
A bit of good ol' Canadian SAR:

Although I have just learnt that Canada will be replacing those with these:
