Well if it was in Welsh, no wonder people didn't understand. I think the guard missed a trick though - he should have announced he was offloading the cases ๐

We have mostly open stations on merseyrail, you dont have to buy a ticket, although i always do, and there is never a queue to buy a ticket, or anyone to ever check them, just nobody bothers with enforcement.

Liverpool James street is one of the oldest stations on merseyrail, and looks the part, dirty, water running down the walls and cables everywhere, but it does have a fantastic inclined ramp about a quarter of a mile long to water streeet, and is only open during peak hours, cycling is not allowed down the ramp, and beware of the steps at the bottom of the ramp.
