Invincibility of Ti myth shattered at an early age when the LBS cropped the excess thread off the end of my Ringle seatpost QR.

My Ti ring rarely comes off and is shiny inside and has a nice patina on the outside. Ti means more to us as I'm not a jewellery person.

I have a Ti wedding ring. I've never really been one for gold or other precious metals, but as a lifelong cyclist titanium is probably the metal I covet above all others, so it seemed the perfect choice for me. Also as a tradesman, I don't wear a ring for work, so I didn't want to spend a lot.
I wear a silicone ring most of the time, which is incredibly comfortable even during a weeks alpine mtbing. The Ti now comes out on special occasions.
Re being unable to cut them off, perhaps the sails person wanted you to spend far more on a gold one!

Got a Tungsten Carbide with Carbon Fibre inlay wedding ring. Its a replacement for the pure Tungsten Carbide one which i dropped on a tiled floor and shattered.

our marketing lady at our other office is getting married next year and her fiancee doesn't particularly want a ring as he is very outdoorsy and worries about all the stuff above. She saw my Si one while I was up there yesterday and thought it was great and will be seeing if that meets his needs.

You may now add something about having my ring fingered by a 23 year old if you wish, but i wouldn't dare. It was quite loose on her slim hand though, I think she'd have got two in with a bit of stretching.
