I have aero-bars and quick-grip I think (not used them for a while), but had no trouble fitting. IIRC, they swing in quite a wide arc round the bar before tightening. Halfords often have mock set-ups to look at.

Fairly certain that you'll need the t-track adaptors for wing bars, I've got an older box with U clamps which only just clear the bars, but the quick clamps from the bike carriers don't even come close.

roofbox.co.uk will know. If I were to guess, I'd have thought you'd need the T-track bolts also.

Research is done!

Halfords didn't have any staff to ask, however I opened up one of the grips on a quick grip box and it was wide enough to go around a wing bar
Roofbox.co.uk - inconclusive
PDF from Thule says don't use quick grip with wing bar
Bloke on ebay has one he's selling with quick grip used on wing bars fine.

So the conclusion? I'm just going to get a quick grip one and use it with my wing bars
