[#9993566]

Have come to conclusion since starting riding again after 4 year break that 90% of bikers are total stuck up complete ass holes ( I rode street before started riding trails about 2 years ago). I actually can't deal with these total *s out on the trails. Most of them are shit, they talk the talk with all there TLD gear like there a * pro with there 5k carbon bike that looks like a * space ship from another galaxy then you see them riding and can't beleive how shit they are. The kind of people who would rather talk about bikes than ride them. The kinda people who sit at the top of the trail for an hour cause there shit and will never get any better. The kind of people who just stand in the middle of the trail when your coming down like eh move out the ** way of the track you *. Being older none of my friends ride any more. I basically always have to ride on my own cause every bikers a * stuck up **** Rant over

I can’t think why you have to ride on your own.

Has a point, some heft, random expletives, is contextual and relevant. I like it. Points away for legibility (ie it is) and in the wrong forum.

plus one point for the single paragraph, though given it's Thursday has the OP been sweating on this since the weekend or has he found some mid week riders?

I was going to write a pretty mocking post about the OPs ability, attitude and ego, but then... I find myself wondering aloud.

Has he been to Cannock recently 😉

There = over there, their = indicative of ownership, they're = they are.   Stuck-up?  Maybe.  Bike that looks like a spaceship? Sadly not.

Mad bike skills?  Not really.  I like my bike, I like to ride, I don't particularly like to talk, but judge away.

This rant should not be buried amongst the other chaff on here

Having carefully digested the rant, I'm afraid this is 'the other chaff on here'.

Besides, I don't really recognise the person you're ranting about. 90% of the riders I meet are lovely, humble friendly people. Maybe if I hung out at Stile Cop, or somewhere like that I might see more, but even then I'm not so sure.

Ah, the most intolerant are often the most intolerable. There are a few idiots that hang around the trail head, the rest?, well, you're eating their dust demigod.

What bike do you have OP? How much travel are you rockin? Is it carbon or alu? Is it 12 speed? Do you run maxxis tyres? Is it standard or did you swap out stock bits? How long is your dropper post? Fox or Rockshox? Sram or Shimano? Have you ever ridden the WC track at Fort William? Do you like narural trails or trail centres?

I'm never sure if the lack of paragraphs in a rant is a positive or negative.

Points deducted for using ‘merican spelling arsehole

Absolutely. No excuses there.

Apart from people standing in the middle of the trail, everything else can be easily  ignored. Just do your own thing and enjoy yourself. It's what I've been doing for years!!

I rode street

Did no one ever teach you that children should be seen and not heard. Now be quiet and  go and play quietly in your room until dinner - and don't expect any pudding.

Good rant, now go and put your £3.5k carbon bike atop your A6 Estate and head back to your weybridge bolt hole.

You think that's bad, Road riders blank fellow road riders if they aint wearing Rapha and arent a premium PACT coffee subscriber 🙂

I liked the rant it had all the hallmarks of wildly flapping thumbs, a huge frown, red cheeks, steam lightly emanating from the left ear, trousers near knee caps, laces undone on some scuffed 5-10’s, sweat patch between shoulder blades seeping through a pale grey t-shirt and his bike in a heap in the hedge.

8/10 and a 1/2 for the sweary bits...

Could do with moar racism and lady references then I’d offer another point.

So by my calculation you’d receive a 2.1
