Meat with fruit

Oh, chip shop curry with raisins in.  WTAF?  Does anyone like this?  Pineapple on pizza causes holy wars but put whole dehydrated grapes into a spicy sauce to go on your chips and no-one blinks.

(Aside: I went to a chippie at the weekend, he asked "do you want regular curry or Irish curry?"  I asked what the difference was, and was deeply disappointed that he didn't reply "about 200 miles.")

Oasis

The Smiths

Haha, I feel like people should really like one or the other - not both.

Like you, I don't like either of them though - and I used to be a floppy-fringed indie kid as well.

Chocolate fountains. Specifically fruit dipped in chocolate is just wrong!

Point of order: That maybe something you don't like, but I don't think it qualifies as something you should like.

The Smiths

The journey of following The Smiths together with the world's second-best known gladioli-botherer is well documented in Facebook's reaction emoji.

A good point, well presented.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but... drum & bass.

I like most electronic music genres, I can see how inventive it is and I liked most of the music that led up to it.

But it just never clicked for me. Like those magic eye paintings.

WhatsApp.

Everyone expects you to use it these days. I get unlimited free SMS (that I only use around 4 off every month) plus there's FB Messenger. I don't need another app.

"Oh, I quit Messenger because I don't like Meta/Facebook/Zuckerberg"... that worked out well!

Maybe, but it does all I need it to do.

I don't think he really knew.  He said it was "smoother," presumably because what you really want is an option of lumpy curry sauce.  I suspect it was hotter than the normal one, it tasted more like the sort of thing you'd get from a Chinese take-away.

WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted and doesn't - yet - involve a Facebook account tracking you halfway across the Internet. FB Messenger supports this also, but you have to actively enable 'secret messages' per-user which might require some explaining if your partner is a narcissist.

Plus "I don't have WhatsApp" is considerably less fannying to resolve than "I don't have Facebook Messenger."

Yup, unless you have kids, I can understand that, otherwise it's a load of bullucks.

Some mouthwash afterwards might help you there.

I used to like sourdough. During the first lockdown I ventured, like so many, into bread making, and produced a daily loaf  so someone suggested I try sourdough.  I therefore googled a starter recipe and found, somewhat unsurprisingly, a guardian foodie who had decided, out of curiosity, to use her own yeast for the starter culture.  So that’s a nope from me ……

(Most) Spirits.

Popular team sports as a spectator. I think they are fun to do (the ones I’ve tried) but the idea that we all need to get super worked up about “our” team playing, and winning and watching the, do it, has never been big for me.

Fellatio. So disappointing.

A young lady came up to me and asked what the Church's  view on fellatio was....

(One for the Rowan Atkinson fans)

Whisky - I'd like to but I can't. TBH spirits in general but less fussed about the others.

Coffee - it'd be so much easier to drink it than not but it's horrid, I can just about cope with a flat white but really what's the point by then.

Salad dressing - no I don't want oily vinegar all over my salad thanks, just served me fresh salad with it's own flavour.

Coleslaw/Slaw - just **** off. Unfortunately you tend to get one or the other of that or salad dressing and quite often both.

Beetroot

Olives

Most things that pass for TV now

Beach/pool holidays

This is unrecognised genius, really I mean how could you not  argue that of all the world's history it was all fine until the 18th C came along and spoilt it for everyone. I think we should ban it*

*although, it does provide my wife with a living, so there's that...
