Just got off the phone to Mrs Flying Ox, and she's been moaning about not being able to start her Vespa. Even when she tried to jump-start it. From the mains. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

If I quit work, would I qualify for a carer's grant, because she clearly isn't safe to be left on her own.

I want to buy whoever invented circuit-breakers a pint or two.

The information I've gleaned so far is that it didn't work, and the fact there were no sparks when she rubbed the wires together has lead her to the logical conclusion that the power has been cut off to our garage.

EDIT: It hasn't. The light still works.

I am trying to work out what she actually used, short of stripping the end of a standard power lead and connecting those directly to the battery, which deserves points for creativity if nothing else...
Have there been any ill effects to the Vespa?

I have, in the past, started my bike straight from the Optimate which is *kind of* jump starting it from the mains, but... Nope, scary...
