Is there anything to do in NYC on Xmas Day? Thinking about going out there for this years xmas day but a bit worried that everything might close down and there will be nothing to do and nowhere to eat. i guess we can spend the day walking around central park what about anything else?
still looking for things to do in New York at Christmas
a walk round central park and a skate on the rink.
Got a hire car? Take a ride round some suburbs awarding imaginary prizes for the best garden light displays. Great cheesy fun. There will be plenty of places open in the city, but fewer further out. Good info on the NYTimes website. You can check which places to eat will be open and book on opentable.com. Couple of the museums usually open too. Some theatre shows too and Radio City show if you can get a ticket.
I spent 2 hours volunteering at a Salvation Army soup kitchen a couple of years back. Best Christmas day I've ever had.
