Was happy to see England go through last night and I'm happy to see Spain win this evening 🙂

Portugal once again paying the price for still basing their squad around a way-way-past-his-best diva. They could have stayed out there for a week and not scored

Hats off to Klippity for summing it up about Infantino and Trump

IMG_3136.jpeg

At least they’ve guaranteed that the entire world is supporting Belgium tonight. I hope they absolutely turn them over. The team talk before kick off has already been taken care of by Donald Trump

Thank you for your attention in this matter

Belgium are very much the better team here, 1-0 up at the hydration break. US just don’t seem arsed, Poch is livid.

Urgh, cheap free kick ont edge of belgiums penalty area, USA haven’t had a touch in the area yet, free kick took a wicked deflection into the net.

but never mind, Belgium back in front 2 mins later, stadiums silent again 🤣 Poch is now kicking stuff.

Well, half time and I’m off to bed. If USA carry on like this, Trump will be having a word to get the whole tournament suspended.

Couldn’t resist…

3rd and 4th goals were embarrassing.

Belgium were good not great, USA were awful. Score reflects the game.

The issue with Infanino is he is up for re-election and he already has the support of Asia and Africa so it's likely he'll be around for a while longer yet seeking new ways to debase the game

Good work Belgium. Not least celebrating the last goal by players doing the Donald Trump dance, and then posting a picture of Lukaku captioned 'Overturn this!'

Feel sorry for Balogun, he didn't ask, by the sounds of it I don't even think the USA FA asked, and I guess all he good have done / the USMNT could have done was voluntarily leave him out. Just a pawn stuck in the middle as people with no right to interfere play their little power games.

Hes got the backing, via the funding that they all need, of everyone but UEFA, who are self sustaining. Makes Blatter look like a saint.

FIFA's only real competitor for the most corrupt organisation in the world is the International Olympic Committee

If you've not watched the 'FIFA Uncovered' documentary on Netflix, it's worth a viewing. Unsurprisingly, it shows that the whole organisation is absolutely rotten to the core as it has been intentionally set up to be so. It exists purely to enrich itself.

Infantino and co genuinely couldn't give a toss about football, only money. As this World Cup has demonstrated even more than Quatar. Who'd have thought that was even possible?

Well done Belgium, though we know it ain't over till the fat orange shit gibbon has finished whining.

Genuinely sorry for the US players getting caught up in this shit storm, none of it was their fault

Had two bets on Belgium .... 2-0 and 3-0.

That free kick cocked up my winnings.

Can't believe I managed to stay awake for last night's game and not England's.

928 days until that orangutan becomes irrelevant. Could be significantly less after the midterms.

FIFA in the meantime should be mortally wounded by this and needs reform.

There might need to be a goal of the tournament and a best disallowed goal of the tournament.

One of the greatest world cup goals disallowed for a softest off freekick decisions.

Must have played football for nearly 40 years and cannot remember pulling someone down just by grabbing their shirt.

Gutted for the Egypt player, one of the best runs I’ve seen in a while. But it was a foul, he’s stands on his foot and pulls his shirt

Didn't see the foot stand. Oh well.

What a comeback led by the Argentina number 10.

Nice to see the fifa fix was in.  whoever plays them needs to be at minimum 3 goals clear to prevent anything questionable having an effect.

That var review was beyond belief

Well, there’s more than a few governments who want to be included with them, not wanting to be outdone by an organisation that oversees lots of blokes running around kicking a ball.

Egypt manager didn't mince his words in that respect!

I wondered from.early on that FIFA were doing what they could to keep Ronaldo and Messi in the tournament, no doubt for the neutral US audience.

Argie/Egypt result again mystifying, unless ...

I do like that the USA as a nation finally "gets" footy though - they were all in for their boys taking the W and now they hate them for their ineptitude 🤣

No football on tonight -I might have to go & ride my bike...

Looking forward to France vs Morocco tomorrow, I kind of fancy Morocco for that... Former French colony & all that, I think they'll be up for it.

Just a thought regarding England - Haaland has never played a match at the World Cup & not scored. He will get chances. I also think our best two players playing abroad has really helped them perform at this tournament.

I've got a work charity ride so quite timely and a break from the footie. I'll have to return to my state of anger, bewilderment and joy tomorrow.
