Looking at a new year trip to Zell am see. Risky move? Travel arrangements tbc. Bit more of a drive than I would prefer but not too keen on flying or train either. What are the queues like in Zell at NY? Isn’t there a local on here sometimes?

This is weird, because last night I was thinking - 'Flashy, it's probably time'.

As gondolas, cable cars etc are a breeding ground for virus's I was thinking we may give this coming season a miss (nbt agrees).

I bet you were...

😉

Good point re cable cars/bubbles. However, assuming resorts can make queuing work with distancing, other lifts are probably OK. Perhaps only family groups together on a 4/6 together, otherwise halve the capacity and leave gaps? Button lifts are self-distancing anyway!

Talking this very thing through with the other half at the weekend and I think we're going to pass on doing anything much this summer and will spend some money on the house rather than an overpriced cottage in wet august wales. She seemed amenable to the idea of skiing being the next family hols in Feb 21 and I'd be v tempted to revisit the Aosta valley by car again if that part of Italy doesn't have a re-emergence of covid.
