It was mayhem and not sits and it was definitely not mleh!!

However photographic proof of the offenders did appear on mleh

Mleh is aright, can be a nice bit of light relief and it appears more people are posting there nowadays, last year there was a point where it was only three people posting.

Wasn't it the Singletrack lot and Guy Kesteven ended up having a right go at them for being dicks!?

No not Singletrack, it was on Cheeky corner if that helps

I was one of them and yes it got out of hand but the stories exaggerate what happened to make it sounds worse, but this does happen. It was silly and it's was the climax of the cheeky heckling as we decided yes it got too silly so it's not been done anymore. Guy came across he was vey annoyed, he was tired and his kid wasn't well but he calmed down and stayed for drink.

Mleh seems to have taken over it would seem with the Megaphone.

Airbags, for or against?

An Austrian client of mine was the first person to test an airbag in a deliberately set off, light-powder avalanche. He survived and was very enthusiastic about them. That was over ten years ago so why don't I ski with one? Well I thought about the acquaintances that had died in avalanches and realised that the airbag would have been about as useful as wearing a cycle helmet when run over by a truck.

One was on a ridge when the snow he was on avalanched. A very small avalanche but a very long fall - a parachute might have helped but an airbag wouldn't. Three others were in woods hit by an avalanche made up of ice, rocks, snow and trees. The cause of death was impact not burial.

So, an airbag wouldn't have saved those but might encourage one to venture out on light powder days when it would be better to stay in the gasex area or watch TV. When I put my ARVA on I find myself thinking "if you need this then should you be going out?"

is this one of the "in" jokes, . . . i don't get it? x

Wasn't mlehworld the offshoot of one of the mid-era flounces from this site?

Indeed. Magicsick was, err, 'bullied' off the forum (ironing?), flounced and set up Mlehworld. That was some time around 2005. It's heyday has gone now. It's just full of them Scotch these days.

Seems to me they're all a bit juvenile.

And it's like STW was when it started, no-one getting ripped off over classifieds, just get out and ride, help and support, that kind of thing.

If this is anything to go by it seems to be full of in jokes between folks who think they are much funnier than they really are.

I think the thing with in-jokes is those that aren't in won't get them and thus may not find them to be funny, HTH.

I suggest you stay away then. Though it helps if you know some of the punters. And you wouldn't want them spending more time on here, would you?
