I think you're right but the travel can be both ends so your research needs to be extended to take this into account.

I have a bike with 4.5" travel at the front and zero up at the rear which is surprisingly how I like it, 4.5" up front, and nothing traveling up my rear. ๐Ÿ˜€

What would a rigid imply? I like 220mm of travel with plenty rebound ๐Ÿ˜€

It's all about travel adjust, it gets bigger when you need it.
