Alos what's this "ur biek iz sarcin", is it just poking fun at nippers mis-typing or something more sinister, it's a bit before my time...

[Dons history teacher jacket]
Saracen used to make sublime bikes, the sort of thing early UK MTB riders lusted after. Am sure that many of us here used to look longingly at Kili Ultras etc, back int eh early '90s.

Then Saracen gave up on quality completely and made utter, utter abominations. The MBUK style of speech, which has many etymological links to txt-speak, translated this in to an insult by saying "UR BIK IZ SARACING" as a way of saying that your dandyhorse was in some way far inferior to the velocipede of the person delivering the insult.

Saracen are now, I am pleased to say, making some fine looking steeds.

Ahhh, was on the right lines. Unfortunately the Saracens I knew when I started riding were the super market specials. I'm aware the Kili was quite a good looking cycle.
the new Saracens do look pretty good, wonder if they'll manage to loose that late 90's early 00's image though.

Which leads us neatly back to - "You have considered a Skoda Octavia, haven't you?"

No mention of tyres/valves yet?

iDave - I regard the "funny" cat pictures as fundamentally un-STW, hopefully those responsible for posting them will get bored/go back to school soon.

anything French: cheese eating surrender monkeys.

Watches: you must have an Omega Seamaster/You must have the six quid casio one from Argos.

Blaming new labour for everything. Even stuff abroad and from the 50's.

Criticism of brick pointing, fence painting, neatness of lawn and so on.

Tyre logos and valves. Long brake hoses. Big stems. Wonky saddles.

My favourite recurring threads/themes however are the beer ones. None of that 'my beer's better than yours', just everyone celebrating and telling everyone else about great beers. ๐Ÿ˜€

Actually where is his lordship? Has there been a kind of under-the-radar, low level flounce? And would that actually qualify as a flounce? Being unnanounced? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Its like the whole 'one hand clapping' thing isn't it? and trees falling over in the woods?

I took a flounce a few weeks ago and made the decision that I really should spend much less time and get much less involved on here.

I listened to a few words of reason from a couple of folk and realise that teh endless rehashing of old debates goes nowhere at all just wastes energy and that when I was getting wound up about folks behaviour then I needed to step back and get a bit of reality.

I am also so sick and tired of the behaviour of some folk who make this an unpleasant place to loiter.

bassspine - like it. :d

Surely the whole thing of flouncing off... only to be seen again within the next 3 days is quite an stwism?
