And I love seeing Concorde on the BA add!!

That actually really bugs me. How can they advertise their current service using a plane which provides a capability they no longer have? "We used to be this good, oh but sorry we're not any more". Fail.

For the Concorde lovers the BA tribute incl Raymond Baxter

Sod your JL advert - lots more dust in my eyes watching that.

I read this post a few days ago, and felt sorry for the soft headed folk.

However I didn't reply at the time - life is too short for arguing with eijets on the net.

However, Charlie Brooker has expressed my sentiments well enough - corrective reading for you.

Is it sheep derived jewellery?

Don't be silly. You'll have to wait for at least another year or so....

An advert for a shop. That's all the John Lewis thing is, and as such it's no more moving than the "So Near, So Spar" campaign of the mid-1980s. Anyone who cries at this creepy bullshit is literally sobbing IQ points out of their body. Is this really what we've become โ€“ a species that weeps at adverts for shops? A commercial has only made me feel genuinely sad on one occasion โ€“ 25 January 1990, when a falling billboard nearly killed 'Allo 'Allo star Gorden Kaye.

That Charlie Brooker article today was excellent and what he said about that awful Littlewoods advert was spot on.

Wont be spending a penny at any of the shops I see advertising on TV.

Managing fine so far. Thank good for wooden toy shops on the web and Amble/Alnwick main streets. Does wiggle count though?

You lot must like your coffee up there. Seen there was a new one called Bari Cafe we used to talk about "bari" when I was at Thomas Percy. The outdoor shop is handy, jobsons, fair trade shop, even farmway for jules clothes for wife.

It's gone coffee shop mad but they've cleared out the charity shops. To be fair things have improved and some good shops appearing.

I thought it was his Sisters head he wrapped up, but thinking about it I now have come to the conclusion that it's Madeleine McCanns
