Saw this last night; very good film. I'm now coming round to Ryan Gosling as an actor - he hadn't really convinced me previously (and to be fair, I haven't seen Drive) but he puts in a fine performance here.

It's just a good political thriller - it's not excellent by any means, but anyone thinking of watching something a bit above the bottom-feeder shite in the multiplex, this would be worth a shot.

Unless Human-Centipede 7 is out, I feel you're being bottom-feederist. ๐Ÿ˜

Ryan Gosling is excellent in Blue Valentine (alongside the lovely Michelle Williams) - pretty much the best unsuitable-first-date movie I've ever seen. Ace soundtrack, too.

And he was seeing Sandra Bullock for a while - the man can do no wrong!

thought this looked good from the trailer, but I'm not really a fan of political thrillers so probably won't go and watch it.
Gosling seems to be hot property at the moment off the back of his roles in Drive (excellent film) and the Ides of March - I just hope doesn't end up like Clooney and become a Hollywood pin-up in cliched roles.

In fairness to Clooney, after ER, he made quite a bit of money in some shit roles, but as he's aged, he's definitely put himself in the "good guys" camp - he always tries to get involved in decent films these days. He produced, directed and co-starred in this one.

In other news, TinTin is shit. There's a surprise eh?
