I have the rare pleasure of the telly to myself later this evening whilst she's out with work. Which documentaries that have been on Beeb2/4 or C4 or such like are worth watching whilst eating my takeaway?

And before anyone starts, I know it's a lovely evening, I'm out with the dog at the moment and I'll be riding tomorrow...

The BBC2 series on Japan and its wildlife was fantastic. Can you get iPlayer on your TV?

Ooh, cool. Yep, got iPlayer via the Sky box or the old laptop.

I enjoyed that new one what Victoria Coren-Mitchell did on bohemians. Not very blokey though I'm afraid...

If you have a nexflix account there are some really good ones (may be on YouTube also..)

20feet from stardom - a doc about backing singers, yes I know it doesn't sound great but it is

The last top gear documentary..
About cars.. And 3 middle aged buffoons.
One of them is a hamster, one is like a spaniel, and one gets a bit angry if fed some salad. You probably won't feel particularly educated after watching it but it's mildly entertaining at times and may leave you with a sense of deja vu.. like you've watched something like it before...

Blackfish or The Crash Reel if you can get them.

I also saw one about the executioners in the death squads in Indonesia which was just astonishing - The Act of Killing.
