their first ever film
That's a lie! I (when I was young and stupid in the 70s) went to see a Status Quo film at the cinema with my big brother. (I soon realised I hated them.)

I like the Quo.
All the albums up to 1980 are good, but the best, if you're prepared to give 'em a go are Dog of two Head, Piledriver, Hello!, Quo, On the Level and
Blue for You (which is obviously their cocaine album - much faster, bit overblown).
Went downhill from there and the albums from 1977 to 1980 are overproduced and a bit poppy.
Everything after 1980 is an awful self parody of the early stuff and is to be avoided at all costs.
Seriously, abandon your predjudices and have a listen - some great stuff out there: ๐

Really?
The one thing Quo fans know is to expect the unexpected.
a 5th chord?!
A 4th would be unusual phil...
I really hate admitting it, but they were the first live band I ever saw. Even then, I knew they were dreadful. Luckily, a year or two later, I was listening when John Peel played 'new rose', and my musical tastes (and width of trouser) changed drastically... ๐
Francis on coke addiction: "I knew there was a problem when I blew me nose in the shower and felt something give. I looked down and was just in time to see my nasal cartilage wash down the plughole..".
Career best - opening Live Aid at Wembley.

maybe, yes and yes

I doubt I'm going to convince anyone, but:

And Mitch, exactly how many chords has 'New Rose' got?
btw, I usually have one leg of my kecks flared, and the other one skintight. ๐
