Nowhere near as nice as last weekend with the northerly breeze knocking the temps down, but at least it's no raining (albeit some lanes are still damp), just not as inviting as previous few weekends when summer kit was borderline possible.

Currently not looking good for next weekend, rain with similar temps and breezy.

Just finished last caffeine of the day, time to get ready for another late afternoon ride and a late dinner.

Had a lovely ride yesterday morning in the sun - a bit chilly, but feeling almost like spring.

I didn't dare try off-road of course. That's still a complete bog.

Spent all last week hoping for drier trails this week with the forecast high pressure but instead it's rained heavily all day and the trails will be worse again. This week I am finding it hard to cope, it's the hope that's killed me

It was bone dry on my local trails here in Wales over the weekend. I was riding the unofficial steep stuff which I haven't bothered with since September because of deep mush!

It's really depressing isnt it.

Was a hint of spring at weekend but Sunday was cold and now it's grey, wet and cold again.

I took my summer road bike off the turbo trainer and replaced it with the winter bike at the weekend and realised I hadnt even ridden my winter bike at all!

Surely it's got to change soon?!?!?

It's the hope that kills you, but at least we haven't been hoping.

On our Saturday road ride, a bunch of off-road motorbikes went past and then headed off on one of the trails we sometimes use. Had barely left the tarmac and they were straight away splashing through a mahoosive lake of a puddle.

Another grim week promised, maybe next Monday will be ok again? One day a week seems all we can hope for.

Just had four days of dry weather and largely dry trails in North Wales.

Granted not the warmest, but not actually cold and I'm certainly not complaining.

We've usually had a little spring heatwave by this time of year, but at least we seem to be getting actual spring weather rather than constant rain now. Touch wood.

Neck warmer, winter gloves and jacket put back into duty today.
I too give up.

Was a week of dryish weather, colder at the weekend, and then it rained pretty much all of yesterday, so back to square one, i still dream of the day where i don't have to microwave the butter for a sandwich at lunch, one day it'll happen.

Still got the heating on in Sheffield. Feels like December.

We had a nice bright weekend but the wind is freezing cold.

Lovely dry conditions in Friston forest yesterday. Was fairly wrapped up in winter jersey and gilet. Today I've just pulled some Roubaix tights on again. Thankfully it's dry, for now, but rain expected.

Yesterday we had a full day of rain despite high pressure. Today is forecast dry, it's been raining for the last 2 hours. Even when indicators say dry it rains. JUST STOP!

So, did everyone enjoy summer, wasn't it fab?

Absolutely no sign of it being actually sunny and warm on the horizon of the long range forecasts I'm looking at. Changeable into June - guess we'll get a nice week (3 days) sometime at some point, then it will rain again until next spring.

Sick of it

I was thinking the same - a few days of nice weather and now the forecasts are just saying rain, rain, rain.

After a pretty warm few days, on Sunday night we got hit with the worst storm I've ever seen in my almost 50 years on the planet.  Half an hour of absolute insanity. The biggest hailstones I've ever seen and a massive flash flood. In a very un-scientific test, we had an empty cup sitting out in the back garden. Once the storm passed there was an inch and a half of rain water in it after half an hour!
