My mum had a Great Dane. It could go up on it's back legs, put it's front paws on my shoulders and look me straight in the eye.
I'm 6'2".
It also once fitted an entire hedgehog in it's mouth.

my grandparents had 2 at once.
They used the kitchen sink as a water bowl and we got rides on them when we were toddlers. Ace.
..and I meant to say, size apart, he was the most brilliant dog ever.
Even better than Old Yeller and Lassie.

A mate used to bring his Great Dane up the pub. You'd be sat eating a meal and then this head would appear next to yours and it would start dribbling on your should. If you were really unfortunate it would also sneeze in your ear 🙂
