'Case' on Channel 4 at 10.00 pm but then rather confusingly switches to All4 for future episodes.

Takk may well be Icelandic, I don't know.
It's certainly Swedish for 'thank you'

@ c_g, Fortitude is the (fake) name of an arctic Norwegian town with a dark past. A slow burning yet compelling Scandi-drama.
Looking forward to season 2.

Not heard of Acquitted.

Thoughts on first episode?

Too many short scenes with people you didn't know, saying stuff that will only make sense in the last episode.

I'm out.

Know what you mean richmars but it's directed by a chap who was one of the directors of 'Trapped' which was an excellent (Icelandic) series. I've therefore not given up!

Yes, I liked Trapped, but this one didn't work for me.

Just came on here to recommend Trapped, beaten to it.
If you like that c_g then you should like Fortitude.

Fortitude was good, but bloody grim. Not sure I could stomach another series of it TBH.

All4 confuses me

On the catch up menu on sky the Channel 4 section is called All4, and yet you can only get episode 1 of Case.

Watched another 2.5 episodes on catchup. Looks like it's all there for non-Sky people http://www.channel4.com/programmes/case

Thanks for the link.

For anyone who enjoys subtitle / crime / Nordic.
Having recently watched them for the second time, I would recommend these two DVDs:

The Hunters (Jägarna) (113 mins) £4.99 Amazon
[IMG] [/IMG]

And its follow-up set 10 /15 years later (and, in my opinion, the better film):

False Trail (125 mins) £5.99 Amazon

Thank you sands, always good to hear of more! Rolf Lassgard was, in my opinion, the bestest Wallander so definitely keen to get hold of these dvd's.

Just started watching Season 1 of Fortitude. Why does everyone speak English on an Icelandic island? I think I prefer Scandi dramas to be sub-titled!

Really enjoying Case.

Fortitude is a lot like the first series. Whether or not that is a good thing is another matter.

Fortitude - agree with others, they shouldn't be speaking English and, yes, Scandi dramas should be sub-titled.

It's a bit gruesome, don't really want to see the detail.

Sitting on the fence somewhat.

Really enjoyed this.

Btw, When did C4 allow the sets to be downloaded to iOS and android devices?
