take a holiday or pull a sickie for the interview. don't tell anyone until you've got the job. & well done on getting an interview 🙂

in the private sector - when you've had a written offer.
my wife's a teacher - they all seem to tell each other not only that they're applying for jobs but senior staff encourage other staff they don't want to lose to apply for jobs that they hear about. Very odd.
