Been hankering after one for a while now, and after last weeks trip to Hay on Wye and seeing loads of people on them,I'm having one.
Does anyone have a two seater that they use on their own? I'd say most of the time it will be just me,but Mrs houndlegs would like to be able to use it when we go to the beach together.
Any difference paddling a two seater or a single seater?
Recommendations would be nice as well,or are they all pretty much the same.
Cheers
Some two seaters have a middle seating position you can use if paddling solo.
Point 65 N do sectional kayaks that you might want to look at. Use a front and rear as a solo or clip in a middle section to turn it into a tandem.

If you are near Central Scotland you could have a shot of our Scooter Gemini.

Many thanks for the offer scotroutes, but I'm in S. Wales unfortunately.
I've seen those clip together ones on the internet, and although a tad pricey compared to normal ones,it would save me the cost of new roofbars I suppose.
If I was buying again I'd definitely go for a clip-together type. I'm actually thinking of selling the Gemini in order to (help) fund one. It doesn't help that I have a Trafic van and it's a long way up to the roof with a big kayak ๐
Hmmm I hadn't thought of that,I'd be looking at carrying it on a van as well,if I get an ordinary one.
