Thats a job and a half. Used to do my mates boat prior to racing to get it as smooth as possible before new paint.

Must be calking next :?, I've watched a few vids on that and wouldnt envy anyone the job on this yacht.

I realised the other day that I didn't watch tally ho from the beginning. I started watching it when someone on here recommended it.

The first one I watched was when he went to buy his live oak, episode 19. So I've started again from the beginning. The live oak one is still brilliant.  We'll worth watching again. 8 minutes in he reads a book on live oak, his accent is amazing.

Watching the early episodes, I can't believe just how much he did on his own. He's really come a long way.

Brilliant recommendation.

Making 4000 bungs! I love the way he was doing it tho. Very clever.

I actually joined Patreon to support Leo/Tally Ho. Always enjoy a new episode although I'm glad they are finished the planking. Looking forward to the episode where they move the boat.

That's a lot of sanding!

Can't believe he took this project on, on his own. Some of the early videos when he's on his own moving really heavy bits of wood are inspiring.

He and tally ho have come a long way

While incredible to see how long and how much work it's taken to get to this stage, there's still a considerable amount still to be done. The deck planks, fittings on to of those by way of companionways, hatches, systems of bringing light into the saloon, construction of the masts, stepping them(fitting), running gear, standing lines, and internal fit out. Engine, tiller and etc etc etc. In fact taking all thats still to be done it kind of looks like they're only a 1/3 of the way in from completion.

Scary thing is if 4 years is 1/3 done, that could mean he's still got years left to do.

As admirable as it is, a backgarden in a domestic setting is not the place for it.

Very moving episode (sorry)
Wonderful to see the mutual respect between them all. And what a piece of kit that trailer is, swaying from side to side to avoid the house/trees
Just hope people take heed about the ‘give us space to work’ request

Great episode, what wonderful hosts. Would be great to get Raul involved in building a little tender for Tally Ho and calling it Darlene. Then they know they will sail with Leo. We hear a lot about the worst side of humanity, but this project also highlights the best.

His attention to detail still staggers me.

What happened to the lead keel casting....I don't think I missed then redoing it after the first disastrous attempt, did I?

Regarding the auction from the last video, the dinghy is now listed for sale on craigslist after the winning bidder pulled out - so if you’d like to buy the boat and can pick up locally, please make me an offer!

bit shit when someone bids then doesn't pay on these auctions

Dammit, I shouldn’t open this thread as the Thumbnails give to much away. I’m still back at framing,

Knowing that the boat moves, but have yet to get that far

I'm genuinely worried about Pancho....

Pancho died weeks ago.

Just kidding, it's still in the videos from time to time.
