so its nearly time for us to be looking at a new car.
we are not the average buyer (well leaser) we use motability cos the missus is poorly, and our requirements are not exactly average either....
we need a very good pollen filter in the car, and the aircon needs to be top notch as we need to keep a very stable environment temperature and particulate wise.
So we are looking at a range of cars from ford fiesta titanium, to the volvo c30 r design....
1) do cars have different quality of pollen filters in them? the like of vw and volvo say yes and ours is the best.... but others like ford, no they are all the same so buy a fiesta..... I am not getting an unbiased view.
which is it and which is the best?
2) are there any stand out smallish cars in this field between 13 and 15ishK ?
tbh cant afford a golf or audi....
would like something a bit sporty, but comfy as well, not too big or thirsty, any ideas?
My Volvo V50 had a carbon filetr in as original spec, I mad ethe mistake of throwing a cheap one in there at one service and it was noticably poorer, lots more odours getting in, hayfever off the scale etc. I switched back to a carbon filter and it was all well again. I'd say most cars are pretty good, obviously you get better ventilation controls the more expensive you go, mine's got auto climate which does a very good job of keeping temperature stable. I'm not sure if one cars ventilation is better than another though when you compare manufacturers...
