It looks like Sim City as I remember it.
Not enough fires. Or Godzilla
Ain't nearly that deep.
Isn't Sydney one of the deepest harbours in the world?

These guys did it so I would guess they'd be better qualified than me to make that call

Surely there should be some shopping trolleys and used car tyres at the bottom?
They drive about though so the satellite can't get a fix
I suspect it doesn't get as deep as quickly as the picture suggests

Try again on a Saturday night, maybe?
Sydney harbour bridge is 150m high, so by the looks of it they are suggesting that it drops approx 150m or more virtually vertical the instant you step into the water at any point anywhere in Sydney harbour. Bull shit.
Mm.. cool pic, but
around the opera house you can see the bottom, and it's definitely not so deep..

Not since the lock out laws.
Looking at that, the harbour tunnel would be at 45degrees.

This is Sydney, not Newcastle...
The navigation table I have is saying the Sydney cove/passenger terminal depth is 10.9m 😮
Being serious, for a moment, it's the Vertical Exaggeration (VE). Geology and similar stuff tend to involve gentle slopes, so using a VE, like here, can make it all more obvious. Minor details, like the stated VE, can get lost in print. I blame the Torygraph.
(edit) and both linkys get blocked, so I can't check.
The map shows above shows about twenty meters WD under the bridge, but the depth scale is more pretty than useful.
That's one way of getting rid of all the bull sharks.
It is indeed a fake. Oh well.
This image was part of a photoshop competition from 2009 called invisible extras (Take a picture, any picture, then fire up Photoshop and remove a section of it to completely change what's happening). You can see the name of the entrant 'augsav' on the side of the image.

Damnit. Looking closer I can see cloned cliffs. Mug.
