Any recommendations for somewhere nice overnight and to have dinner for an impending date night please. Done the hurt wood inn before which was good but anywhere else? Needs to be near the trails. Thanks.

Plough Inn at Coldharbour is really nice, and backs on to Leith Hill.

Re- furbished last year, very nicely done too, but don't know if they do rooms again yet. Great beer and grub though.

But eat at the Wotton Hatch.

Just a little walk down the drive from the hotel.

I once came across a pair of blue velvet ropes hanging from a tree branch just by the reedy pond at the foot of Holmbury Hill near the YHA car park.

Happy days, eh?

How else do you support you enduro sled for a picture mid ride?

Thanks Turner Guy. Just back from some great riding after staying at wotton house. Also went out on our bikes ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wotton hatch al fresco was lovely in the balmy evening. Good tip to swerve the wotton house food - it looked very mediocre and the restaurant lacked atmosphere or charm.

Was nice to hit some dry trails after bit of a washout last week in France.

I had a burger there, sat outside after a ride a couple of Sundays ago. I thought it was pretty good.

2 pints of cider and a raging hunger from the ride will have had something to do with it, but I do think it was a decent burger.
