The chap fitted the register plate last night and my job now is to fit the surround, before he arrives at 11 am to drop flue & fit stove.
However if I do this, I'll end up hiding the self-tappers that secure the plate to the frame behind in impenetrable wall of cement board and adhesive.
TL;DR - Do you ever have to remove the register plate? (flue can be swept through the stove)
