[#8097929]

The chap fitted the register plate last night and my job now is to fit the surround, before he arrives at 11 am to drop flue & fit stove.

However if I do this, I'll end up hiding the self-tappers that secure the plate to the frame behind in impenetrable wall of cement board and adhesive.

TL;DR - Do you ever have to remove the register plate? (flue can be swept through the stove)

Ta

Edit: For sale?? Numpty.

No & Yes! - or there's a sweeping port in the portion of flue between the stove & register plate 🙂 HTH

No access hatch? Did you wonder why it was cheap. 🙂

😀 The inspection chamber is being cut out in situ, once the liner is dropped.

I'll whack the boards up then.

Looking good Bear and hope it won't be too long before you have a fully functioning lounge. 🙂

Thanks CG. Me neither 🙂

To finish of one of the better days, tonight's sunset reminds me why I put myself through this crap.

'kin hell, you're eagle eyed! I don't actually know - maybe it's a possession order.

Sadly, just a pauper's Glen Moray. That said, it's a nice tipple!

I am sat in my living room for the first time in 2.5 years.

It's ace.

Cheers folk 🙂
